Zorèy Koshon, a perfect snack that the whole family can eat. Usually prepared by many families in southwest Louisiana with a cup of coffee on the side.
Ingredients
3 cups flour (400g)
12oz whole milk
¾ tsp salt
2 cups cane sirup
1 cup of chopped pecans
3 cups oil (to fry)
Preparation
1. Heat the oil on the stove to 350° Fahrenheit
2. Twirl with a fork for 30 secs as soon as placed in oil
3. Gradually pour milk into the flour and salt until a soft dough ball form
4. Knead until smooth. Cover and let rest for 30 mins
5. Divide into 24 pieces
6. Freeze in balls. Roll into 6-inch pieces and fry
